| PLEASE CHECK ALL SCHEDULES CAREFULLY FOR FIELD LOCATIONS!!! ***BH - BULLHEAD FIELDS***LA - LOS ALTOS FIELDS***RR - RIO RANCHO HIGH FIELDS***CL - CLEVELAND HIGH FIELDS NM/WTX 2012 USSSA STATE TOURNAMENT RULES** 1. USSSA rules will govern play with the following exceptions. 2. The international tiebreaker will be used beginning in the 8th inning or after the time limit has expired if necessary. (ALL GAMES) 3. There will be a 1 hour 20 minute time limit finish the batter (POOL PLAY WITH FREE SUBSTITUTION). We do not need scores of the pool play games feel free to do what is best for your team. 4. There will be a 1 hour and 30 minute finish the inning (BRACKET PLAY) 5. There will be a 12 run rule after three innings and 10 run rule after four innings a 8 run rule after five innings (ALL GAMES). 6. There will be no infield prior to games. 7. Each team must provide one new USSSA stamped softball and one used USSSA stamped softball for each game. If you forget balls there will be softballs for sale at the complex. 8. In case of inclement weather check with the Tournament Director and/or Field Supervisor at your complex for further instructions. Once a game is underway officials will determine whether to continue or stop the game. If five innings have been completed it will count as an official game. 9. Home team will be decided by a coin toss at pre-game conference. 10. Awards: Age group of 4 or more teams will receive Team Trophies to top 2 teams and Individual Awards. Age group of fewer than 4 teams will receive Team Trophies to top 2 teams and Individual Awards to 1st place team only. 11. YOUR ROSTER MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE AND HAVE ALL SIGNATURES OF PLAYERS AND PARENTS AND SIGNED BY YOUR AREA DIRECTOR. IF YOUR TEAM IS FROM NEW MEXICO WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE TO SIGN YOUR ROSTER. IF YOUR TEAM IS FROM OUT OF STATE HAVE YOUR AREA DIRECTOR SIGN YOUR ROSTER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. THIS MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO FIRST POOL GAME ALONG WITH COACHES NAMES & CELL NUMBERS. BRING AN EXTRA COPY OF YOUR SIGNED ROSTER WITH THE COACHES CELL NUMBERS ON IT TO LEAVE WITH THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR. 12. SPEED UP RULES: After the 1st inning pitcher will have 3 warm-up pitches. After a putout ball may be thrown to 1 infielder then returned to the pitcher. No huddles unless Time Out has been granted. Teach your players to HUSTLE ON & OFF of the field and they will get in 1 or 2 more innings per game. 13. All uniforms will be worn in the manner they were designed and manufactured to be worn. 14. Good Sportsmanship is encouraged and tolerated poor sportsmanship will not be. If any of your coaches players or fans are ejected from a game for any reason they must meet with Paul Kohman before they are allowed to return. He will tell you what consequences you face and for how long. This is a family environment and any inappropriate behavior will be dealt with so that it stays that way. Harassment of umpires or tournament personnel will not be tolerated if you have a problem call Paul Kohman – 249-0692. 15. Additional Rules for Cleveland High School Softball Fields a. All teams after the first round will warm up at the soccer fields by the concession/restroom building. b. SUNFLOWER SEEDS OR ANY SHELLED NUTS ARE PROHIBITED ANYWHERE IN THIS COMPLEX. If your team or your fans disregard this your team will be responsible for the cost of removal. |
