| Teams/Managers – The 2008 USSSA 16U Summer Blast pool play and bracket is located on usssa.com web site. All Pool games will be played at Harlem Sports Complex 9400 Forest Hills Rd in Loves Park IL 61111 (Rockford). Please note that there is a break for all teams from Noon to 1pm. In Pool Play & Bracket Play no new inning will begin after 1 hour & 20 minutes. International tie breaker in bracket play and game can end in a tie in Pool Play. Bracket Play will be most like a double elimination except no "if" Championship Game will be played. If the undefeated team loses that game they would be Runners-up no 2nd game would be played. Championship game will play 7 innings no time limit. Mercy Rule: 10 runs after 3 innins/8 after 4/6 after 5 innings. Please have your team ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. We will start early if running ahead of schedule. A coin flip will determine Home Team in Pool Play. Higher Seeded Team will be Home in Bracket Play. Bracket seeds will be determined by points from Pool Play. 2 points for a win/1 point for a tie. Criteria for seeding bracket play; #1 Best Record #2 Head to Head #3 Least amount of runs given up #4 Runs scored (a maximum of 8 runs per game) #5 Fip of coin. Home Team is the Official Scorekeeper and the Visitors must provide someone for the electronic scoreboard. Bracket play will begin immediately following Pool Play on Saturday. Please bring your printed roster from ISTS with all required signatures. All teams must check in with Tournament Director at the complex prior to first game. There is a full concession stand with beverages and sandwiches and permanent bathrooms. There are walking paths and a skateboard park & tennis courts on site. No Gate Fee. Only water & fruit will be allowed and ONE cooler per team. Absolutely no food may be brought into the facility. All coolers will be checked. Please make sure your parents/fans are informed of the above. 4 game guarantee. 2 games of pool and double elimination type format. 2 umpires per game. 4 World Series berths awarded. Awards...All State Tournament Team - Most Valuable Pitcher - Best Defensive Player and Most Valuable Player This tournament qualifies teams for the USSSA 16B World Series to be played at Hutchinson Kansas or Peoria Arizona you have a choice.
