| Team Managers/Players - Due to flooding and the large number of teams in this tournament and wanting to keep all the 14U teams together we are using another complex. NOTE: ALL GAMES PLAYED FOR THE 14B WILL BE PLAYED AT DON SCHMID (RIVERDAHL) DIAMONDS. All diamonds are fenced with plenty of warm up areas. More Rules and updates will be emailed to in the next few days. Your bracket says Harlem but that will be changed after this weekend. Don Schmid fields are located off By Pass 20. From the East…. take ByPass 20 West (toward Freeport I39 etc). Exit off By-Pass 20 at 11th St North. Go to the first stop light and make a left by K-Mart. (Sandy Hollow Rd). Go approx 6 blocks and Don Schmid fields are located on the left. If you are playing your first game on fields # 1 #5 or #11 you may find it easier to park behind Kishwaukee Elementary School. Go to the corner of Sandy Hollow and Kishwakee and make a left. Go to the end of the school and turn into the parking lot. The USSSA 14U “B” State Championship bracket play is now available on usssa.com web site. This is a preliminary bracket and games times may change after pool play. All Managers must check in at Don Schmid by the maintenance shed prior to your first game. If you are bringing your World Series roster please make sure it’s up to date with all required signatures. Brandy Salivar is your Tournament Director and Ray Farrey is your UIC. There will be 4 World Series berths awarded at this tournament. Some teams may have already qualified for the World Series be prepared to confirm with entry fee of $450 and download the World Series Entry Application Form from usssa.com web site and hand in with the check. In Pool Play & Bracket Play no new inning will begin after 1 hour and 20 minutes. Pool Play can end in a tie. International tie breaker in bracket play. Championship game will play 7 innings no time limit. Mercy Rule: 10 runs after 3 innings/8 after 4/6 after 5 innings. Please have your team ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. We will start early if running ahead of schedule. A coin flip will determine Home Team in Pool Play. Higher Seeded Team will be Home in Bracket play. Bracket seeds will be determined by points from Pool Play. 2 points for a win/1 point for a tie. Criteria for Seeding bracket play; #1 Best Record #2 Head to Head #3 Least amount of runs given up #4 Runs scored (with a maximum of 8 runs per game) #5 Flip of coin. Home Team is the Official Scorekeeper. It is your responsibility to check with the Umpire and opponent after each inning. Bracket play will begin immediately following Pool Play on Saturday. The Consolation Bracket play will begin on Sunday at 10:30 am with Finals at 1:30 or 3pm. A playoff game for 3rd Place in the Single Elimination will be played Sunday at 3pm. Coolers are permitted and a drink concession stand is available for the weekend. Port-a-pots are available at each diamond location. This will be a very hot weekend so be safe and keep hydrated. 4 World Series berths awarded. Awards include; All State Tournament Team… Outstanding Pitcher>>> Outstanding Catcher>>>Best Defensive Player>>>>> Most Valuable Player and Individual Championship awards for the Champions.
