| We are all looking forward to a great weekend. Below is some general information for the tournament. If there are specific items for your location another email will follow later today. Map: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzciJkz9NpBYeUVIYTBqNFhmYWs This tournament is a joint venture between the Altoona Ankeny Johnston and Urbandale Softball Associations. All decisions about this tournament were made by representatives of all 4 associations. The directors at each site have complete autonomy and authority to make decisions settle disputes etc…. Please contact the director at your location with any questions or concerns during tournament play. Please check in with the site director when you arrive. If you have not paid the $150 gate fee it will need to be paid at that time. All teams need to provide 2 USSSA approved game balls when they check in. If you are not able to provide them we can provide them for you at a cost of $10/ball. Weather and field information will be communicated via text message to the coach (we will ask for a cell number at check in) and the Rainout line at the following link. http://rainoutline.com/home/dnis/5152093029 We have individuals dedicated to nothing but updating the scores and schedules on the USSSA web site. We will get them updated as quickly as we can. I also coach a team so understand the frustration when waiting for scores to be updated but please only contact the site directors with questions regarding web site updating if it has been more than 2 hours past the end of the game you are asking about. http://usssa.com/fastpitch/TournamentMain/#/?eventID=156941&gdSport=16 We will follow the published rules for USSSA in Iowa. Any specific exceptions will be communicated directly to the affected age groups/divisions. http://www.cisfastpitch.com/rules-info.html Above all please remember that this is youth softball and our goal is for everyone to enjoy a fun weekend. Umpires coaches site directors and especially tournament directors aren’t perfect but are all doing their best and have the girls’ best interests at heart. |
