HITS FOR HEROS in Egg Harbor Township The Dave McCline Veterans Memorial Fund is proud to announce its 1st Annual Softball Tournament Fundraiser. This one day tournament is a double elimination tournament meaning each team is guaranteed to play at least 2 games. It is co-ed so teams should plan to field lineups with both women and men. Game times will be scheduled after registration has closed and team captains will be contacted. All teams will be provided t-shirts upon arrival at the fields. We plan to setup concessions with drinks and snacks for sale. The deadline to register is July 26th team captains please contact us to let us know what color shirt you'd like for your team and players please let us know what size/number shirt you'd like. Additional shirts may be purchased for friends/family just contact us. Please register as soon as possible we can accommodate a limited number of teams and it will be first come first serve. If you’d like to play but can’t make a team of your own let us know as some captains have space available. Sign ups done by July 26th will ensure the charity doesn't incur any late fees. Cost is $350 for a 10 person team (please add $35 per person over 10 people). Aside from trophies there will be a prize presented to the winning team as well as a prize for the tournament MVP. Trophies and prizes will be presented at the Tournament After Party at Chickie’s and Pete’s in EHT from 8:30 pm til 10:30 pm. The after party will have pizza crab fries soda and domestic draft beer included. All official team members will be issued a red white and blue charity wrist band to present for entry. Guests spectators outsiders family and friends are welcome to join the after party and may do so by purchasing tickets to partake in food and drinks in advance at the field or at the door for $20. This is a fundraiser and the funds raised will be used to create medical grants for local US Veterans. Dave McCline was a local disabled US Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam. While stationed overseas in Vietnam Dave contacted Agent Orange which caused years of medical problems ultimately leading to his untimely passing in 2010. In his name we are trying honor the brave men and women of the US Military. Please help this great cause and show the local community of heroes that they are not forgotten!
