2003 Michigan USSSA Spring Break Challenge

The brackets for the 2003 Spring Break Challenge are nearly complete and will be posted on www.michiganusssa.com no later than April 14 2003.  GAMES WILL BEGIN AT 12:00NOON ON FRIDAY APRIL 13 2003!!!  Teams should plan on playing at minimum one game during the day on Friday.  If you have schedule conflicts with this please contact Duane Owens at duane@michiganusssa.com.

Saturday Evening Social Event

The Social Event will be hosted by the Battle Creek Yankees.  The game begins at 6:00pm on Saturday and advance tickets are only $3!!  Players Coaches and Families are encouraged to take part in this event.  Email your ticket reservations to Duane Owens at duane@michiganusssa.com.  The Battle Creek Yankees will play Fort Wayne and it's Seat Cushion night....so most fans will receive seat cushions!

Frequently Asked Questions (Please READ)

1. Question: Which roster do I need?  Answer: Team must enter their rosters online at www.usssa.com!

2. Question: Do I need proof of insurance? Answer:  No.  One of the advantages of participating in an event sponsored by the Michigan USSSA Baseball Office (Donny & Duane) is that we purchase insurance that covers the participants with $100000 of secondary medical and the event with $2000000 of liability.

3. Question: Do I need berth certificates?  Answer: YES.  Berth certificates must be available at all times throughout the event.  Failure to show proper certification when asked will result in removal from the event.

4. Question: What about hotels?  Answer: All hotel arrangements must be made through the Battle Creek Convention and Visitor's Bureau (269)962-2240.  Reservations will be verified prior to the start of the event and failure to abide by this policy may result in removal from the event.

5. Question: Where do we check-in? Answer: Team Managers must check-in a minimum of one hour prior to game time at the center tower of the Flannery Quad inside Bailey Park.

6. Question: What are the tournament rules? Answer: These were provided in the entry packet.
