DIRECTIONS TO ALL GAME SITES from I-75

In our effort to make your stay at the Outback Steakhouse Charlotte County Shootout a memorable one here are easy-to-follow driving directions from I-75 to each game site:

CHARLOTTE HIGH (CHS) 1250 Cooper Street Punta Gorda 33950 941-575-5450 (Tammy Wilkie and Mike Robishaw site supervisors): Exit at SR 17 Punta Gorda/Arcadia (exit 164). Driving south it’s the first exit after crossing the Peace River from Port Charlotte; driving north it’s the second Punta Gorda exit after the weigh station. Drive 1.3 miles west on SR 17 (left at stop sign after exiting I-75). Turn left at Cooper Street. It’s the first left after the “Punta Gorda city limits” sign across the street from the Sea Cove Motel. From here Charlotte High is 1.0 mile ahead on your left (turn left at Ann Street; gym is ahead on left before dead end).

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN (HC) 75 Pine Street Englewood 34223 941-474-5884 (Kurt Taylor site supervisor): Exit at King’s Highway SR 769 Arcadia/Port Charlotte (exit 170). Drive west 0.3 miles to first light. Turn right on Veterans Blvd. (SR 776). Proceed 6.9 miles to US 41 keep going straight and follow about 12 miles into Englewood (next town). To get to Lemon Bay turn left at Placida Road (school is less than a mile ahead on your left); to get to Heritage Christian turn right at Pine Street (school is about 1.5 miles ahead on your right). Notes:1) Do not be fooled by the road sign that points to the town of “Placida” about halfway to Englewood; 2) Placida Road (if you turn left) and Pine Street (right) are the same street so you’re turning off 776 at the same light no matter which school you’re heading to.

NORTH PORT HIGH (NP) 6400 West Price Blvd. North Port 34286 941-423-8558  (James Slaton site supervisor): Exit at Sumter Boulevard North Port (exit 182). Drive west approximately 2.0 miles. Turn right at Price Boulevard (first light). The school is 1.0 mile ahead on your right.

MARINER HIGH SCHOOL (Mar) 701 Chiquita Boulevard Cape Coral 33993 239-772-3324 (James Harris site supervisor): From Punta Gorda exit at Jones Loop Road (exit 160). Drive south/west approximately 20 miles turn left at Tropicana Parkway. Proceed about a mile to the school on your right. From Fort Myers exit at Colonial Boulevard (exit 135) follow Colonial across bridge through Cape Coral and past Pine Island Road turning right at Tropicana Parkway. Proceed about a mile to the school on your right.

MURDOCK MIDDLE (MM) 17325 Mariner Way Port Charlotte 33948-1368 941-255-7525 (Brett Wilder site supervisor): Exit at King’s Highway SR 769 Arcadia/Port Charlotte (exit 170). Drive west 0.3 miles to first light. Turn right on Veterans Blvd. Proceed 6.9 miles to US 41 keep going straight another 1.0 mile. Turn left on Toledo Blade (2nd light after US 41). It’s 0.2 miles to Murdock Middle (on your right) and 0.8 miles to Port Charlotte High (on your left).
