We would like to welcome you to the 9th annual "LABORFEST 2016" event. This is the first TN USSSA event of the fall and the first event where your team can start accumulating USSSA points for the 2017 season. This event will be played at Fly Park and possibly other local parks in the Franklin TN area. If you are trying out new players or have a new team that just needs games this event is for you. This tournament has filled up in years past and we hope for the same in 2016.

INTRO
USSSA rules will apply with some exceptions see below. Copies of birth certificates must be available for inspection. Team managers or representatives are to check in at least thirty minutes prior to the start of their first game.

ROSTERS
Rosters must be entered online prior to game time. If a team is questioned and their roster is not online or the player is not on the team roster the team in question might have to forfeit the game or games.

FORMAT
The format for this event will be six pool games (4 on Sat / 2 on Sun) followed by single elimination to the top four teams.

*Pool play will determine if you make it to championship bracket play and we will follow these steps: 1. W/L Record 2. Head to Head (If it applies) 3. Runs allowed 4.Run differential (Max 8 runs)

GAME TIME/RUN RULE
Pool game times will be 70 minutes. There will be a mercy rule in effect: (12/3 - 10/4 - 8/5). For pool games that end in a tie the tie breaker (SEE BELOW) will be played for one inning. Pool games can end in a tie elimination games must have a winner.

TIE BREAKER RULE
Your last batted out will be placed at third base with 1 out the next scheduled batter will bat and you will continue to bat until your third out.

LINEUP/PLAYERS
Teams can bat their lineup in pool play and bat up to 11 in bracket play (9 plus 2 AP). Teams are allowed 12 players in their lineup but only 11 can bat. USSSA uses AP/Flex rules.

a. Courtesy Runners can be used for Pitcher and Catcher at every at bat
b. Runners do not have to be tied to a player (pitcher or catcher)
c. Runner must be a substitute first. If the team doesn’t have a substitute then it must be the last completed at bat.
d. Courtesy runner must be used prior to the next pitch

PRE GAME INFO
Home team will be official scorekeeper. Home team will be decided by coin toss except for the Championship game where the undefeated team will have the option. Visiting team will manage scoreboard.

REFUND/RAIN OUT POLICY
No refunds will be issued once the schedule has been posted if a team drops out the week of the event or if a team drops out after we have closed the event and we can’t find another team to replace that team. If the event does not take place a full refund or credit will be rewarded. If we have inclement weather the tournament director reserves the right to shorten game times or eliminate pool games in order to get the event in.

PROTEST INFO
Protest fee is $200 and is refundable only if the protest is upheld by the Tournament Director. All protests must be made prior to the next pitch!

GAME BALLS
Teams supply game balls and any .47 core / 375 compression leather optic yellow semi new ball will be fine.

The tournament director reserve the right to re-schedule delay start times or cancel games if conditions warrant.
