USSSA Summer Beach Championship Games June 10-12 2016 Corpus Christi Texas Divisions 8U 10U 12U 14U & 18U Hotels:See list of Hotels on Hotel Sheet Event information Cost: $350 Pay at the Plate for UMPS $18 pool (1 ump)/$36 Bracket NO GATE FEES!!!!! Must pay fee by Friday MAY 27th to be included on the schedule. ***GAMES WILL BE FRIDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY*** All teams must be ready to play on ALL 3 days … no exceptions… Games will begin at 9am each day. Prizes 1st Place- $1000 Cash Individual Championship Rings Team Trophy 2nd Place- $200 Cash Team Trophy Individual Awards 3rd Place- Team Trophy (Prizes awarded by division based on 14 team min. per division) Format: 5gg 3 pool into Double elimination bracket Facilities: 8U TBA 10U TBA 12U TBA 14U TBA 18U Rules A hard copy of your roster must be turned in at team check in and must be on-line Team is responsible for having Birth Certificates. If challenged and team can not supply birth certificate the player may not play. If the game has already started team must forfeit the game if a birth certificate is not available. ITB- Bases Loaded two-outs (Bracket only) Pool games can end in a tie. Pool Games WILL NOT be for seeding! UIC or Tourney Director has final decision on disputes. Winner takes all in championship game/No If Game Each team must provide 2-yellow leather 47 core balls. Umpire has right to request different/newer balls. Team must pitch/hit what umpire gives them. 10u-14u Pool Games are 65 min drop dead 4 run ½ inning rule 8u is 55 minutes 10u-14u Brackets are 75 minutes or 6 innings (whichever comes 1st). Finish the inning. Open runs must get 3 outs; 8U is 60 minutes and 6 run limit. It is the Winning Coach’s responsibility to report bracket game scores to the Tournament director table Mercy rule is in effect 12 runs after 2 10 runs after 3 8 runs after 4 6 runs after 5 Tournament director has the right to change format of tourney to ensure timely finish All Bracket games will have 2 Umps/ Pool Games will have 1 Ump All Divisions Umps: $15 Pool/$30 Bracket NO GATE FEES!!! NO TEAM COOLERS/ICE CHESTS---PLAYERS MAY HAVE INDIVIDUAL WATER JUGS. No outside food or drinks for fans. If asked to remove any outside food/drink and a fan says NO the team could be disqualified. It is the Coach’s responsibility to ensure fans know. Flip for home/visitors in ALL games except in Championship Bracket game. Undefeated team is home team. XXXX rules apply during ALL games unless changed by Tournament Director No bunting/stealing in 8u coach pitch. No lead offs until ball is hit in 8u coach pitch. Coaches or players who show up with Alcohol on your breathe will not be allowed on the field ALL teams must be registered with XXXXX prior to being scheduled to play Out of town teams must complete Hotel form $40 protest fee… if you win you get money back. If you lose fee is forfeited ALL teams must pay 2 weeks prior to event if they want to be scheduled to play.. (May 27th is due date) If a coach/player is ejected. They must LEAVE the COMPLEX for the remainder of that game plus the next game. ALL teams must be able to play Friday Saturday and Sunday at 9am to be included in this event. ALL teams must be ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to their start time… If a game finishes early prior to their game they must be ready to play at least 30 minutes prior or will forfeit. Weather Contingencies: In case of uncontrollable circumstances or interruptions due to weather the Tournament Director reserves the right to alter the tournament format in any way necessary to reach a conclusion. This can include but may not be limited to shortened game times fewer games guaranteed or playing rule changes. Games interrupted might not be resumed. Everything possible will be done to get the players on the field as soon as possible. Cancellation/Refund Policy: During the Tournament if the number of games is shortened or cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances such as weather refunds will be given based on the number of games played. 1 Game played = 50% refund. 2 Games played = 25% refund. 3 or more games = no refund. If a team drops before May 27th a full refund will be given. If a team drops After May 27th for ANY reason the team will not receive any refund.
