USSSA rules will apply. All teams must provide proof of insurance and be USSSA sanctioned. Copies of birth certificates must be available for inspection. Team managers or representatives are to check in at least thirty minutes prior to the start of their first game.
All pool games will be seven innings or 65 minute -Finish the Inning-time limit and can end in a tie. Bracket Play will be 75 minute – Finish the Inning – ITB.
Bracket Play will be seeded by pool play. This tournament will be a Two Pool Double Elimination Bracket Format
Teams can bat their lineup in pool play and bat up to 11 in bracket play (9 plus 2 DP). Teams are allowed 12 players in their lineup but only 11 can bat. USSSA uses DP/Flex rules.
Home team will be the official scorekeeper. Home team will be decided by coin toss.
Teams must use the official USSSA supplied softball.
Protest fee is $100 and is refundable only if the protest is upheld by the Tournament Director.
Tournament directors reserve the right to re-schedule games or delay start times of games if conditions warrant. In the event of a weather delay the Tournament Director will post updates on www.ilusssa.net as well as send text/email to all users subscribed to the Tournament Update Line. To subscribe go to www.ilusssa.net or text USSSA KYILMO to 84483. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the Head Coach to stay in contact with the Tournament Director. All lightning delays will be a mandatory 30 minute delay for all lightning seen within a 10 mile radius.
In case of a rain shortened tournament pool play games can be deemed official after 2 1/2 innings of play (with home team winning) or 45 minutes of elapsed game time. This policy will only be used through pool play.
In the event that teams tie going into bracket play teams will be seeded in the bracket or awarded placement by the following:
1. Winning Percentage - Descending
2. Number Wins - Descending
3. Number Loses - Ascending
4. Tied Teams (vs. each other) Winning Pct - Descending (Not valid if all teams have not played each other)
5. Average Points Allowed - Ascending
6. Average Points Differential with a maximum of (8) - Descending
7. Ranking Points - Descending
8. Date Team Entered USSSA Database
Once past a tie breaker do not return to previous
Ties in tournament games will be decided by using the international tie breaker (after time limit or in eighth inning).
There will be a Daily gate fee; $6 for Friday night $7 a day for Saturday and Sunday or $15 for the weekend for all spectators over the age of 12. Players and a maximum of 3 coaches will enter free of charge. Weekend passes will only be available on Friday.
