Tournament Rules and Information

In addition to the registration fee there will be a $125 gate fee per team. If paying online please send this fee to the address below by deadline.

Open to all states. This tournament has traditionally been a "Regional" tournament and open to all states. It will remain open to all states. However Illinois teams must play in this tournament to qualify for a National Tournament. It will not count as a state tournament for other states. You must play in your state tournament in order to qualify for a National Tournament.

This tournament had 54 teams last year and filled quickly. Don't wait to sign up!

Tournament is equivalent to a State Tournament. Teams who participate in this tournament are USSSA sanctioned and have participated in a State Qualifier will be eligible to participate in any USSSA National Tournament.

Teams participating in this tournament must have previously played in a USSSA State Qualifier. Any Qualifier after August 1 2015 counts.

If paid by check this tournament fee is $325 (plus gate fee of $125). Please send payment to address below no later than the registration deadline. If paid online it is $342. This does not include the gate fee. $125 will need to mailed to the address below.

Entry fees and a copy of the team insurance must be received by May 27th 2016 or your team will be removed and replaced by teams on the waiting list.

USSSA rules will apply. All teams must provide proof of insurance and be USSSA sanctioned. Copies of birth certificates must be available for inspection. Team managers or representatives are to check in at least thirty minutes prior to the start of their first game.

All pool games will be seven innings or 65 minute -Finish the Inning-time limit and can end in a tie. Bracket Play will be 75 minute – Finish the Inning – ITB.

Pool Play and Bracket Play will be seeded by total points accumulated as of June 12th 2016.

This tournament will be a Single Pool 3 game guarantee bracket format

Teams can bat their lineup in pool play and bat up to 11 in bracket play (9 plus 2 AP). Teams are allowed 12 players in their lineup but only 11 can bat. USSSA uses AP/Flex rules.

Home team will be the official scorekeeper. Home team will be decided by coin toss.

Teams must use the official USSSA supplied .47 COR ball.

Protest fee is $100 and is refundable only if the protest is upheld by the Tournament Director.

Tournament directors reserve the right to re-schedule games or delay start times of games if conditions warrant. In the event of a weather delay the Tournament Director will post updates on www.ilusssa.net as well as send text/email to all users subscribed to the Tournament Update Line. To subscribe go to www.ilusssa.net or text USSSA KYILMO to 84483. Ultimately it is the responsibility of the Head Coach to stay in contact with the Tournament Director. All lightning delays will be a mandatory 30 minute delay for all lightning seen within a 10 mile radius.

In case of a rain shortened tournament pool play games can be deemed official after 2 ½ innings of play (with home team winning) or 45 minutes of elapsed game time. This policy will only be used through pool play.

2. Number Wins - Descending

3. Number Loses - Ascending

4. Tied Teams (vs. each other) Winning Pct - Descending (Not valid if all teams have not played each other)

5. Average Points Allowed - Ascending

6. Average Points Differential with a maximum of (8) - Descending

7. Ranking Points - Descending

Ties in tournament games will be decided by using the international tie breaker (after time limit or in eighth inning).

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be issued after June 3rd. In the event that a tournament is cancelled a full refund will be issued. In addition if teams do not receive the game guarantee due to weather you will be refunded per the number of games played.

Teams must send payment proof of insurance and a maximum of 3 coach’s names (for admission) to the below address no later than the registration deadline May 27th as annotated above. If payment is not received by registration deadline teams must pay online with credit card in order to guarantee a spot in tournament. An additional service fee is charged for all online payments.

16U and 18U may be combined into a HS division if less than 6 teams are registered in any of the age groups.
