Tournament Rules And Information
1. USSSA
rules will apply. All teams must be insured and USSSA sanctioned. Copies of
birth certificates must be available for inspection.
2. All pool
games will be seven innings or 70 min (drop dead) time limit – Bracket Play will
be 70min. An eight run rule after five innings ten run rule after four innings
and 12 runs after 3 will apply in all games. Teams must be ready to play 15
minutes prior to game time.
3. Bracket
Play will be by USSSA Power Ranking.
4. Umpires
will allow pitchers five pitches or 1 minute between innings (whichever is
less). Teams should hurry on and off the field to ensure pitcher/catcher
warm-ups. It is imperative that any post-game team meetings not take place until
the dugout is cleared and cleaned and the field is vacated. Likewise teams
should be ready to occupy the dugout and be prepared to start play.
5. Home team
will be official scorekeeper. Home team will be decided by coin toss except in
the Championship game when the undefeated team will be home team.
6. Courtesy
Runners may be the last completed at bat if no sub is available.
7.
Each team must supply one (new or like new) .47 COR ball per game.
8. Protest
fee is $75 and is refundable only if the protest is upheld by the Tournament
Director.
9.
Tournament directors reserve the right to re-schedule games or delay start times
of games if conditions warrant.
10. Gate Fees
will be $6 per day or $10 Weekend Pass. All players and up to three coaches per
team will be admitted free of charge. Children 10 & Under are free.
11. Ties in
tournament games will be decided by using the international tie breaker (after
time limit or in eighth inning). The “IF” game will be a 2 inning shootout. You
will turn in a new lineup as if you are beginning a new game however the game
will be only 2 innings and will begin with the last player in your lineup on 2nd
base. If tied after the completion of 2 innings a third inning will be played
with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
