The Southwest Illinois Baseball League is affiliated with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). The league was formed in 2005 with only one division and approximately 10 teams. Each year the league has continually expanded to where in 2013 we had our highest participation rate ever with 167 teams broken out into 21 divisions. For 2014 we are expecting continued growth and anticipate we will have somewhere around 190 teams.

The primary purpose of forming the league was to provide children in the surrounding communities of Southwestern Illinois the opportunity to play the game of baseball at a highly competitive and enjoyable level! Through our growth the league has changed from one that was small and relatively localize to where in 2013 we were the largest USSSA sanctioned league in the state of Illinois.

As we enter our 10th Anniversary season we continue to experience excellent growth and now not only do we remain the largest USSSA sanctioned select league in the state of Illinois but we are also the only USSSA sanctioned league in Southwestern Illinois. It is through hard work and a strong commitment to making the league as strong as we possibly can that growth like this happens.
