MANAGERS INFORMATION

  1. SCHEDULE - Please check your game times often as they may change.

  2. EVENT GUIDELINES

  3. CHECK-IN - All teams will need to check-in 30 minutes before their 1st game. Even if teams have taken care of their entry fee in advance you still need to check in to receive other items and verify contact information. Each team will be allowed three (3) managers to receive a wristband FREE. Each one of the three (3) chosen by the team must check-in at the front gate and receive a wristband. Only the first 3 will be admitted at no charge.

  4. TEXT MESSAGING and E-MAIL - (How to Instructions-CLICK HERE) One of your primary forms of communications is text messaging and email. Get scores and updates. Managers can enter parent information into the www.USSSA.com system under team management.

  5. LODGING FORM -REQUIRED - All teams are required to submit the Lodging Documentation Form upon the team checking in at the event. This form needs to be as accurate as possible and should be completed by all teams even if no rooms were used. CLICK HERE FOR THE LODGING FORM

  6. ENTRY FEE - All Entry Fees are due in advance of the event being scheduled.

  7. ARTIFICIAL MOUNDS may be used at some location. In the 13U and 14U where Steel cleats are allowed they cannot be worn by the pitcher were artificial mounds are used.

  8. ARTIFICAL FIELDS - On any artificial fields the following are not allowed. Sunflower Seeds Peanuts Gum or Candy.

  9. ROSTERS - MAKE SURE YOUR ROSTERS ARE UPDATED ONLINE AT www.USSSA.com . Roster infractions will be dealt with harshly and could put the manager players and others in jeopardy of suspension.

  10. WEATHER - Sports Productions will do everything within its power to play baseball. We will keep you posted at www.SportsProductions.net if any weather related issues arise. Teams that have entered are expected to not drop out until we officially cancel the event.

  11. AMENDMENTS - The Tournament Host reserves the right to amend/change any rule/guideline or posted material at any time.

GENERAL ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

  2. DISCOUNTED SOUVENIR T-SHIRT PRE-ORDER - SAVE $5 PER SHIRT. Discount Group Orders ONLY can be made(minimum of 4). $15-$18 Pre-Order $20-$23 at event if available. All Teams will be listed on the back of the shirt. CLICK HERE TO GROUP ORDER.

  3. TEXT MESSAGEING AND E-MAIL - E-Mail and Text Message will be a main source of communication. Make sure your email address and text messaging is set up at www.USSSA.com. To receive email and text message updates about your division the team manager can log-in to the team site and set up your email and cell phone to receive updates for your division.

  4. SMOKING - Many parks have designated smoking areas. At the Youngsville Sports Complex there is no smoking at all on the property including the parking lot.

  5. PETS - are NOT allowed at any park.

  6. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED - Only a team water cooler 3 gallons or larger with a spout is allowed. No Outside Food or Drinks are allowed to be brought in park. Only small ice chest with rags per dugout allowed. No Bottled Drinks only a Cooler with a spout will be allowed. SPECIAL NOTE: NO GUM CANDY or SEEDS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ARTIFICIAL TURF FIELDS AT ANY TIME. EXCEPTON: Youngsville Park will provide water coolers in the dugouts. No team cooler allowed.

  7. NIT ADMISSION - Adult $8 and youth 12 and Under FREE. When each spectator enters the park they will be given a wrist band. These bands must be worn on the wrist or on the body clearly visible at all times. A new wristband will be given each day. Admission fees are daily and non-refundable. No rain checks.

  8. LOST AND FOUND - If any items are found at the facilities please turn them in at the Front Gate or to the Tournament Director. Let us know where they were when you found them.      LOUISIANA STATE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

    REMINDER
    Teams Participating in a USSSA or Global World Series must validate their World Series Berth by participating in their State Championship.

    UPDATED QUALIFICATIONS
    UPDATED GUIDELINES

    All teams will be eligible to participate in USSSA State Championships this year. You are eligible to play in your classification if you have the minimum number of events played. If you have not played in the minimum number of events you can enter the state championships and then email us to review your current results. We will then determine if you are eligible to play in your current class or if you need to play up in a higher classification based on your roster and your results. We will consider out of state events as events to be eligible for state. Events played after Feb 1 will be considered and any others will be taken into consideration.

    All AA teams - 3 events

    9 -14 AAA teams - 3 events

    6u 7AAA 8AAA and all Major teams - open to all teams. With State Office approval.

    HOW TO QUALIFY 

    Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the Louisiana USSSA Baseball State Championship. Your tournament host will be one of many USSSA Affiliate sites through-out Louisiana. It will be the goal of the host and Louisiana USSSA Baseball to create an experience that the players coaches and families will remember forever. Your team must be A QUALIFIED TEAM to enter the Louisiana USSSA State Championship. You will enter your team on-line in the appropriate age and appropriate division of play. The State Headquarters will then forward all entries to the Host Site.

    BY WEDNESDAY AT 7:00PM

    Statewide Tournament Rules and Guidelines

    The Louisiana USSSA Baseball State Championship will have a three (3) game schedule guarantee. Number of entries will dictate the exact format. The Tournament Director in conjunction with the State Director will determine the format. Tournament format may be amended after the event begins due to weather or other acts of God.  Game guarantee is if weather permits or if other acts of God do not allow this to happen in the time frame given for the State Championship

    Your team's ENTRY FEE MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE STATE HEADQUARTERS 10 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT. ALL ROSTERS MUST BE ENTERED ON-LINE FOR A TEAM TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. All deadlines for the State Championship are 10 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT OR WHEN EVENT IS FULL.

    THE ROSTER IS REQUIRED TO BE INPUT ON-LINE AT WWW.USSSA.COM. IT MUST BE THE SAME ROSTER THAT YOU QUALIFIED WITH DURING THE SEASON. DROP/ADD GUIDELINES DO APPLY. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN YOUR TEAM'S SUSPENSION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS TOURNAMENT! PLAYERS MAY BE INDIVIDUALLY CHECKED IN AT EACH TOURNAMENT WITH BIRTH CERTIFICATES IN HAND.

    Louisiana USSSA Baseball offers two(2) weekends for the "AAA" and "AA" State Championship Teams. One in the South part of the State and the other in the North part of the State. TEAMS MAY PLAY IN BOTH.

     All players participating in USSSA Baseball tournament play shall have photocopies of their original birth certificates in the possession of their team manager.  Failure to have a copy of the birth certificate available upon demand will result in the offending team losing the game being ejected from the tournament being placed last in the standings and forfeiting all awards and tournament berths they would have been awarded at the tournament.         

    Rain Delay Policy: If the event receives rain and causes delays and/or suspended games the following may happen but not limited to the following: Game Times/Innings Amended Games Not Played Days added to the Event It may be moved to another weekend and location. Others depending on the circumstances. We will attempt to continue to schedule the event until it is played.

    Rainout / Refund Policy: If for some reason the event is cancelled completely an not able to be rescheduled due to rain/other the following will apply. If no games are played then there is a 25% refund. If the team has started their first game then there is no refund. If a team drops out after entering there is NO REFUND. If a team drops out after the schedules have been complete there is no refund. No refunds are given unless the event is completely cancelled due to lack of participation.

    NOTE:

    1.    The Cut-off Date for all ages is May 1 of the current season. Whatever age a player is on April 30 of the current season is the age the child must play.

    2.    Any player can play in a higher age classification but cannot play in a lower age group.

    3.    All players must be similarly dressed.

    5.    Managers and coaches must wear a baseball cap with team insignia and will be properly dressed. (Coaches may wear coaches' shorts).

    6.    While in the field as a defensive player team caps must be worn.

    7.    Protest on uniforms will not be allowed.  It shall be the Tournament Directors responsibility regarding uniform legality.  Violation of the uniform rule will result in the violator being allowed to conform or be removed from the game.

    8.    Metal spikes are prohibited in age groups 5-12.

    9.    A full-use batting helmet which covers the top and back of the head and the side of the face must be worn by every player while in the on deck circle when at bat and while on the bases.

    10.  All bat boys/girls will wear full-use batting helmets when their team is at bat.

    11.  Suspended games will be resumed from the exact point of suspension.

    12.  Ages 7-18 - The catcher must wear protective gear: Mask chest protector shin guards protective cup catchers helmet and throat guard.  Ages 5-12 - Catchers must wear helmet that fully covers their ears. (Except T-Ball)

    13.  All playing rules not specifically covered above shall be governed by the USSSA Baseball Rules and the National League rules for Major League Baseball.  

    Awards to be Presented:

    A. Team Trophies to 1st - 3rd Place Teams
    (If more than 12 teams in the event then 4th Place will be Given)

    B. Individual Awards to 1st - 3rd Place Teams
    (If more than 12 teams in the event then 4th Place will be Given)

    Admission during the tournament will be $8.00 for adults & FREE for 12U and under per dayThis charge includes everyone except players in uniform and three (3) team coaches.  A maximum of 3 coaches passes will be issued.
