| Team Awards & player awards. Teams pay Umpires & supply baseball balls all one day games count to leagues games standings once 4 games played. Teams play 2 games and top seeds get 3rd game. Out of the area teams will be given later starts if possible. Please acquire the needed team insurance and your teams 2015 USSSA membership. Also team rosters must be updated with players information before player can participate. When play finishes the results will be posted to the USSSA website. Schedules will be either emailed or posted on the USSSA website by Wednesdays prior to the Sunday event. Games Scores will be updated to the USSSA site within 7 Days. Umpires will have pitching cards for teams to sign after each game. Teams are asked to visit the Tournament Table after each game and report the official score. Accurate reporting of scores is critical in order to record correct seeding. The umpire fee per team per game is $40. Teams shall pay umpires doing the coin toss. Teams need to provide two quality baseballs per game. The league will follow USSSA rules and those posted below: A coin toss decides home and visitors in pool play. Highest seed is home in final game. Game length is the earlier of 1 hour 45 minutes or 6 innings. Pool Play games may end in a tie. There will be no extra innings. Teams get two pool play games before being seeded. Infield Fly rule will not be in effect. Slaughter Rule. 15 Runs After 3 Innings (or 2 ½ Innings) 8 Runs After 4 Innings (or 3 ½ Innings) Modified Leads: 1. Bases will remain 65 feet. 2. There will be a 10 foot mark placed off 1st 2nd and 3rd base. Runners will be allowed to steal home on passed ball or wild pitches. 3. The runner can take a lead but cannot cross the 10 foot mark until the ball crosses the plate. If runner is beyond 10 foot mark before the ball crosses the plate The Runner Will Be Out ! ! ! 4. Dropped 3rd Strike – A Batter is automatically out on a dropped / missed third (3rd) strike by the catcher. 5. The runner will be allowed to steal when the ball crosses the plate. 6. If runner gets a RUNNING START in an attempt to steal BEFORE the ball crosses the plate. The Runner Will Be Out ! ! ! 7. If the pitcher attempts a pick-off. The runner can advance to the next base on the play. 8. There will be no Balks called. If an out is recorded because of a Balk then the umpires will call time and all base runners will go back to where they started and the batters count will continue like nothing happened. Seeding is determined by pool game results in the following order: Won-Loss Record (tie counts as half win) Runs Allowed Runs Scored Coin Toss. There will be no head to head used for determining seeding. Pitching Limitations for the Day: Maximum of 6 innings per day per player. 1 or more pitches thrown in an inning counts as an inning thrown. Violation of the pitching limitations will subject team to forfeiture. Championship Games between the predetermined number of top seeds will have no time limits. (Note: The number of teams (depending on event size) returning for Championship play (3rd Game) will be announced at the tournament table) Please visit the tournament table at the beginning of the tournament for number of teams returning for Championship Play (3rd Game). There is no time limit however International Rule of play is in effect in the event of a tie after 6 innings of play during championship games. There must be a winner. Please leave your pets your music and grills at home. Teams not complying with this request will be asked to leave the complex. USSSA RULE 11.00 – SPORTSMANSHIP & EJECTIONS 11.01 All players coaches managers sponsors and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times. 11.02 Any player coach manager sponsor or spectator whose conduct is unbecoming or abusive shall at a minimum be reprimanded with a warning. If warranted the offending party shall be ejected from the game at the discretion of the Umpires and / or the League / Tournament Director. |
