| Old SMHS Field OLD FIELD. Hays County. Hays County. I-35 south to San Marcos. Take Highway 123 exit (Exit 204) and go under I-35 south (left) on Highway 123. After a block or so veer left off of Hwy 123 and onto Staples Road which intersects the highway at an oblique angle. Continue SSE on Staples Road past the fish hatchery on the left. Look for the old baseball field on the right. This is the back side of the old San Marcos High School. The parking lot is on the right before you reach the baseball field.
