| 9 Year Old Specific Rules: 1. Batters can not advance on dropped third strike. 2. Runners can not lead off. They may steal once the ball is released by the pitcher. If runner leaves early the defense can keep the result of the play or choose a no pitch and the runner returns. 3. A runner who occupies third base at the time of the pitch can not advance home unless he is forced home by a walk forced in by a hit batter batted in or if the defense attempts to retire him/her at third base. An attempt to retire another runner at another base does not allow the runner to advance home. Only a play on the runner at third will allow the player to advance home. |
