The Mississippi Valley National Invitational Tournament (NIT) is a great early tournament with high competition to get your team ready for the 2009 season. This year the tournament is during the weekend of April 25th and 26th 2009 for ages ranging from 8U to 14U. The tournament is hosted at some of the best complexes in the Quad City area. Sheridan Meadows Complex in Eldridge Iowa (just minutes north of Davenport Iowa) Park View Water Tower and the Heat Facilties in Davenport Iowa. Sheridan Meadows has 7 baseball diamonds 2 with lights. The facilities are really nice and the diamonds are perfect size for youth competitive baseball. The 8u diamond is only 180 feet the 9u and 10u diamonds are 200 feet to the fences and the 12u diamonds vary between 230 and 270 feet. Diamond 2 and Park View will be used for the 13u teams. These diamonds are just seconds away from each other. The 14u group will use Jefferson Ballpark a really nice and unique diamond for 14u teams. The Heat Complex is going to be for the 11u teams. These diamonds are the ones that can be seen on this website above. They are the top of the line diamonds. There are only 12 teams limited to each age so enter early. (8 for the 8u and 14u group unless we can find another field)
