Dear Coaches: The Columbus Mariners are excited to extend an invitation to you and your team to play in our 19th annual Columbus Mariners baseball tournament. We have 10 top notch fields that have an agri-lime playing surface. We have had great feedback on our previous tournaments and this year will be no different. We look forward to some great baseball games during the two weekends.
All registrations must be done thru the USSSA website. Brackets will be posted on the website two weeks prior to the tournament. All of the information about the tournament can be found on our website: www.ColumbusMarinersBaseball.com
The tournament will be played at Gerrard Park (4340 27th St.) and Bradshaw Park (1577 48th Ave.). The tournament headquarters will be at Gerrard Park. Game results will be posted on the website.
This tournament is filled on a first come first serve basis and will be limited to the first 6 teams in each age group by division in which we have received payment and proper registration forms. Additional teams may be allowed in divisions, if other age groups do not fill and proper fields are available. Some divisions may be combined based on number of teams entered in each age group and division.
There will be 7 age groups and a Major/AAA division & AA/A division: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 year old. The 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, 11’s, & 12’s will play 6 innings, while the 13’s & 14’s will play 7 inning games. Each team is guaranteed to play FIVE (5) games unless weather prevents it. Portable pitching mounds will be utilized and baseballs are also being furnished.
The 9 year olds, 11 year olds, and 13 year olds will play on May 5th-7th. The 8 year olds, 10 year olds, 12 year olds, & 14 year olds will play on May 12th-14th.
Championship brackets will be posted at Gerrard Park and on the Mariners website.
This is a NIT tournament. Final tournament standings will be sent to the USSSA State Director and will be posted on the Mariners website after the tournament. |
