IMPORTANT STATE TOURNAMENT INFO

Qualifications: Single-A, Double-A, & Triple-A State Tournaments are not open events. To be eligible to participate teams must play in either a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or a minimum of four (4) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournaments (i.e.; Qualifier, Global Qualifier, NIT, Super NIT) between January 1st and June 5th of the 2012 season. Any team unable to meet this criteria may still play in the Open State Tournament.

Start Times: Please be advised every team without exception will play on Friday and games may begin as early as 2:00 PM. If your team is unable to meet this requirement, please do not enter the State Tournament.

Format: Georgia USSSA Baseball will use a unique double / single elimination split bracket format.
1. Pools at each State Tournament will be seeded by USSSA Points at the time of seeding.
2. All teams will play two (2) pool games.
3. The top 50% of teams from pool play will advance to a double elimination championship bracket.
4. The remaining 50% of teams from pool play will advance to a single elimination bracket.
5. State Tournament brackets will be seeded pursuant to USSSA Rules.
6. The Champion from each State Tournament double elimination bracket will advance to play in the FREE Georgia
